Abstraksi

ABSTRAKSI: Implementasi Network Management System (NMS) pada suatu jaringan merupakan cara untuk meningkatkan reliabilitas dan kontinuitas suatu jaringan. NMS meliputi pemantauan terhadap kondisi terkini dari masing-masing node pembangun jaringan, sampai dengan pemberian notifikasi status pada administrator.<br>Pada tugas akhir ini dilakukan implementasi NMS yang digunakan untuk memonitor parameter-parameter performansi seperti jaringan seperti ICMP response time, HTTP response time, trafik dan juga menampilkan peta topologi jaringan wireless mesh. Dengan demikian, kondisi jaringan dapat dimonitor secara real time. Implementasi tersebut menggunakan OpenNMS pada jaringan wireless mesh yang penggunakan protokol routing Optimized Link State Routing (OLSR). Untuk memperoleh data kondisi yang lebih lengkap seperti disk usage, jumlah user, memory, dan parameter yang lainnya, pada masing-masing node dijalankan Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) Agent.<br>Kata Kunci : wireless mesh network, network management system, OpenNMS, OLSR.ABSTRACT: The implementation of Network Management System (NMS) is a way to enhance the reliability and continuity of a network. NMS includes surveillance of the latest condition from each node that build a network until giving status notification to the administration.<br> In this final project NMS is implemented to monitor the network’s performance parameters such as: ICMP response time, HTTP response time, traffic and also to display the map of wireless mesh network’s topology. So, the network condition can be monitored real time. OpenNMS on a wireless mesh network with Optimized Link State Routing (OLSR) as the routing protocol is used for the implementation. To obtain completed condition data such as disk usage, user account, and other parameters, Simple Network Management Protocol agent is run on each node.Keyword: wireless mesh network, network management system, OpenNMS, OLSR.
