Abstraksi

ABSTRAKSI: Saat ini, aplikasi yang banyak dipergunakan dan diakses oleh penduduk dunia adalah aplikasi yang berbasis web. Dimana kian hari permintaan pembuatan layanan berbasis web semakin meningkat. Sehingga membuat para web programmer berlombalomba untuk medapatkan proyek pembuatan website. Namun, kebanyakan hanya sebatas melakukan pembuatan websitenya saja. Sehingga ada fakta yang menyatakan banyak dari sekian banyak proyek-proyek pembuatan website hanya sebagian kecil saja yang memang benar-benar digunakan. Salah satu permasalahnya, banyak perusahaan atau instansi yang menyelenggarakan proyek pembuatan website ini kesulitan untuk melakukan perawatan (maintenance) terhadap web site yang telah dibuat. Karena memang tidak ada pegawainya yang bisa benar-benar expert dalam administrasi website, kalaupun ada tentunya perusahaan harus membayar mahal tenaganya.<br> Sehingga tugas akhir ini mencoba untuk menawarkan sebuah sistem administrasi website yang mudah digunakan untuk user yang tidak terlalu expert. Didalamnya penulis akan membangun administrasi webserver beserta websitenya. Dimana administrator dapat melakukan pemantauan kondisi server dengan menggunakan sms. Server juga akan secara berkala melaporkan kondisinya kepada administrator website melalui sms maupun web didalam halaman administrator. Selain itu sistem ini juga dilengkapi Intrussion Detection System (IDS) yang medeteksi serangan terhadap sistem, sehingga sistem atau administrator dapat melakukan penghentian layanan webservernya. Sedangkan studi kasus yang akan dipakai pada tugas akhir ini adalah penerapan sistem informasi Jurusan Teknik Informatika STT Telkom.<br> Sehingga diharapkan semoga tugas akhir ini dapat bermanfaat saat digunakan untuk melakukan maintenance website karena mengedepankan aspek kemudahan dan performansi yang cukup baik untuk sistem webserver.Kata Kunci : Administrasi Webserver, Maintenance, Intrussion Detection System, Respone Time.ABSTRACT: Nowadays, many applications utilized by people around the world are web based, where needs of web based application is extremely increasing. Therefore, many web programmers have to compete on getting projects making websites. But, most of them only confine on creating website. That’s why, there is a fact tells that most of the projects are only a little part of those which is really used. One of the problems is many companies or agencies have to face difficulties of maintaining a web site they have. Of course, it will need some professionals who can manage and maintain the website. Consequently the companies have to avail more money to spend.<br> The objective of the final project is to offer a web site administration system which is user friendly. Inside of the system, there will be web server administration together with its website, where administrator can observe the condition of server by using SMS (Short Message Service). Server will also periodically send its current condition to the website administrator by using SMS or web page. Besides, the system is completed by Intrusion Detection System (IDS) to detect intrusion activity that harmful the system, thus Administrator can immediately stop the service. The case study will be held on the implementation of information system of informatics Engineer in STT Telkom<br> Moreover, the system will be considered as a close technique of simplicity for maintaining a website.
