In this globalization era, instant messaging is one of alternative media that used by most of people to communicate with others that using internet technology. LINE which built in 2011 has gain third position of the most favorable instant messaging in Indonesia with presentation 35%. Sticker and timeline feature get some attention from users. The popularity of LINE itself cannot be doubted to attract females and males to use it. According to the research, in the instant messaging, males and females have differences in the conversation topic. Males speak more about technology-related topics, while female conversations contain more emotional subject matters. This means that there is a difference that males and females have the difference in using instant messaging. According to the fact, this research has aim to analyze the gender differences on using LINE based on the Technology Acceptance Model. Type of research used in this study is quantitative descriptive study. The population sample is consists of 100 males and 100 females. To analyze the correlation between each variables (PU, PEOU, and BI) the tools that used is PLS and processed by using SmartPLS 2.0 software, and for defining the differences of the variables based on gender, the tools that used is Independent T-test analysis that processed by SPSS 20. The result of the analysis stated that, the t-statstics of PU to BI is 3.5272, the t-statstics of PEOU to PU is 23.6746 the t-statstics of PEOU to BI is 2.7424, and PU and PEOU have correlation to BI as much as 50.32%. Regarding the main effects of gender, the result of independent T test, in PU the t-value is -1,291. PEOU has t-value -0.818, and BI has t-value 5.61. This shows that PU has correlation to BI, PEOU has correlation to PU, PEOU has correlation to BI, and PU and PEOU have correlation to BI. Regarding the main effects of gender, there is no difference between males and females on the perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use, but in the behavioral intention, males and females are different.
