ABSTRAKSI: Drive Test adalah proses pengukuran sistem komunikasi bergerak pada sisi gelombang radio di udara yaitu dari arah pemancar/BTS ke MS/Handphone atau sebaliknya, dengan menggunakan handphone yang didesain secara khusus untuk pengukuran. Dalam pengukuran drive test digunakan beberapa alat antara lain laptop, handphone,GPS, dan software drive test itu sendiri. Untuk saat ini, software drive test masih sangat sedikit dan berlisensi mahal, sehingga sulit untuk didapatkan.
Pada proyek akhir ini dibuat sebuah software menggunakan bahasa pemrograman visual basic yang memiliki fungsi yang sama dengan software drive test jaringan WCDMA/3G yang lain tetapi berlisensi free atau gratis sehingga bisa didistribusikan secara luas, tetapi software ini tidak selengkap TEMS/NEMO.
Software ini mengolah parameter-parameter yang sesuai dengan KPI (Key Performance Indicator) drive test dan bersifat umum seperti RSCP, Ec/No. Hasil pengujian software ini pada lingkup kampus IT Telkom untuk active site RSCP dengan threshold kurang dari -85 dBm adalah 62.95%, dan untuk Ec/No dengan threshold kurang dair -10 dB adalah 52.27% serta tingkat keakuratan dengan pembanding TEMS adalah 93%-95%.Kata Kunci : IT, Visual basic, Software, drive test, WCDMA, 3GABSTRACT: Drive test is a process measurement system on the mobile communication radio waves in the air, from the direction of the transmitter / BTS to MS / Mobile, or vice versa, by using a mobile phone designed specifically for the measurement.
