Abstraksi

Abstract : West Java is one of the provinces in Indonesia with amazing cultures, including traditional dance folk, traditional music, and theater art. These traditional arts are the true identity of one region because they were based from the daily activity that, of course, different in every region. It such a pity that these traditional arts are ratcheted by modern arts that came in swiftly nowadays and have made the majority of the new generation forget almost all of them. This is the main cause of the probability that at some point, traditional arts of West Java will extinct. To overcome this problem, the Government organized a lot of art exhibits as the effort to resurrect the interest of this new generation. This said effort usually is held in Bandung City, the capital city of West Java Province, but at different places because there haven’t been a proper one yet that can facilitate all the traditional arts needs. This is the main purpose of this interior designing; to design a traditional art exhibit center that support the effort of the preservation of this almost extinct traditional art. The hope is, that with the exsistence of a facilitated place to the traditional arts to exist and grow, will interest the new generation to the traditional arts and prevent them from extinction.
