CV. FAB is a company runs in drinking water business, producing several kinds of different sizes of drinking water, such as gallon, bottles, and cup. In distributing their products, CV. FAB both deliver to customers and sell direct in their depot/store. One of the problem faced by CV. FAB is to fulfill customer’s demand that order drinking water in form of gallon, while this market has the biggest protion among other drinking water varian they produced. As it is, they should consider more on how to distribute the demanded product and pick up the emptied water gallon to be rerun for other production. The company already has distribution route used as guidance to distribute, with no calculation in determining the route. Still, the existing distribution route is not always used as they prefer to deliver the products by estimating which customer is close to one another. And, this leads to ineffective in the distribution routing. This research proposes distribution route by defining the problem first, as Vehicle Routing Problem Pick-Up and Delivery (VRPPD). Then, comparing result of Genetic Algorithm, Tabu Search, and Hybrid Genetic Algorithm-Tabu Search (GA-TS) as which algorithm generates better solution The result generated is found that the better method is by using Hybrid Genetic Algorithm-Tabu Search with the total travel distance decreased up to 23.33%.
