ABSTRACT

Nowadays, the development of technology is very fast and increasingly sophisticated, no doubt all the problems in a city will be resolved quickly and well. Some of the cities in a country in the world have applied the concept of smart city. The concept of smart city itself with the development of information, communication, and technology. One of the dimensions in smart city concept is smart security and safety. This research will be integrated into smart security and safety in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. This study aims to know the indicators and index level of smart security and safety in Bandung city from some variables such as regulations or policy, awareness or understanding, expert, monitoring and controlling system, emergency system, preventive system, and recovery system.
The research is exploration sequential mixed method it means started with qualitative data to build quantitative with causal type of study. To discuss the indicators and measure the index level of a smart security and safety in Bandung, ideas from 16 respondents who are government, business players, experts, and customers' of smart building in Indonesia.. Method triangulation and content validity is chosen for the validity in this research. This study finds that there are 20 indicators to measure and the index level of each variable and indicator.
