Abstraksi
The term "internet of things" refers to a global network of physical objects that are connected online. One use of IoT is the establishment of smart cities in a number of Indonesian cities or areas. Bandung City is one of the cities that is currently implementing smart cities to help the government to serve the people of Bandung City, especially in monitoring highways or traffic. There are several CCTV Pelindung (Bandung City Environmental Monitoring) installed at several points on the Bandung City highway. This research uses a qualitative method by conducting interviews with the Bandung Command Center. This CCTV Pelindung utilizes the face recognition feature which causes unrest in the community regarding the protection of their personal data. With the application of the face recognition feature, it is recommended to use several feature extractions to increase accuracy such as the LBP feature which gets 73,6% accuracy using the adam optimizer and epoch 25. In addition, it is necessary to pay attention to standards in accordance with regulations in Indonesia such as equipment / technical standardization, data / information security and public electronic system providers. There is also a policy brief to provide policy recommendations regarding the protection of personal data in the application of APDV (Visual Data Processing Tool) integrated with AI (Artificial Intelligence).
