The power system is a unity of a power plant, transmission, distribution, and load. In Indonesia, many small islands still have not yet received electricity from the State Electricity Company. Meanwhile, the electricity demand continues to increase, as is the case in Nusa Penida in Bali Province. According to Bali's regional regulations, Nusa Penida currently receives its electricity from diesel, solar, and battery energy storage systems. However, the Bali government also wants to transition energy sources to renewable energy. The potential energy that can be utilized is ocean currents. However, with the integration of ocean current power plants, the stability of the electrical system in Nusa Penida itself needs to be considered. A control is required to regulate the frequency so that the frequency value can return to stability. Modeling and simulation were conducted using the DigSILENT PowerFactory application. Static and dynamic analyses were performed on the conditions before and after the integration of the ocean current power plant. The static analysis includes the amount of power generated by each generator and the breaking capacity of each bus. The parameters of this static analysis are the power output values generated by each generator and the bus fault capacity values not exceeding the predetermined standards. At the same time, dynamic analysis analyzes voltage and frequency. Meanwhile, for voltage and frequency stability, the parameters are the observed value before the disturbance, the lowest value, and the value after the disturbance. Static analysis does not show any disturbances during the integration of ocean current power plants. This is observed from the output power and the breaking capacity value, which are still within standard limits. In the dynamic frequency analysis, graphs are compared after adding simple control in the form of the HYGOV governor. The results obtained show that the addition of control with the HYGOV governor can stabilize the frequency more quickly, and the integration of ocean current power plants does not disturb voltage stability.<br /> Keywords: Nusa Penida, ocean current power plant, stability, control, analysis
