Abstraksi

This study presents an in-depth analysis of behavioral factors affecting Generation Z's intention to use Shopee PayLater (SPayLater), one of Indonesia's fastest-growing fintech services. The adoption of fintech by younger generations is growing in importance as it develops with innovations like paylater services. Even so, this development brings new psychological challenges, including technostress, which may hinder sustained use. The research aims to examine how technostress factors—Easy of Access, Customer Support, and Security—alongside key constructs from the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), influence behavioral intention. A quantitative approach was used to develop and evaluate a total of 15 hypotheses. An online survey was used to gather information from Gen Z at DKI Jakarta who frequently use Shopee PayLater. To ensure a representative and statistically valid sample, the simple random sampling approach and Cochran's formula were used for sampling. The collected data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) in the R Programming environment via the PLSPM package. The results showed that 13 out of 15 hypotheses were accepted. The findings reveal that technostress plays a critical role in shaping users' perceptions. Fintech platforms that are secure, well-supported, and easy to use are more likely to build confidence in their users and foster a positive attitude toward their use. When it comes to user attitudes, perceived usefulness has a greater impact than ease of use, likely because Gen Z already expects digital products to be easy to use. TPB is relevant in this setting, as evidenced by the considerable impact that social influence and a sense of control over the technology have on adoption intentions.<br />
