ABSTRAKSI: Dewasa ini perkembangan teknologi informasi semakin pesat sejalan dengan tuntutan kebutuhan berbagai bentuk layanan komunikasi baik suara maupun data. Sudah selayaknya teknologi dapat digunakan untuk memenuhi tuntutan kebutuhan manusia termasuk dalam hal ini penggunaannya untuk layanan keselamatan ataupun panggilan darurat (Safety and Emergency Call Service). Layanan panggilan darurat merupakan salah satu bentuk layanan yang memungkinkan pengguna telepon dapat meminta pertolongan darurat dengan menekan nomor tertentu (misalnya 112, 911). Karena sifat layanan ini adalah darurat, maka diperlukan penanganan segera. Secara teknologi persyaratan ini hanya dapat dilakukan jika panggilan darurat tersebut dapat diroutingkan ke pusat layanan panggilan darurat terdekat (Public Safety Answering Point atau PSAP), sehingga pemanggil akan mendapatkan respon yang cepat sesuai kebutuhannya. Penelitian pada Proyek Akhir ini membahas tentang layanan panggilan darurat pada jaringan komunikasi wireless (Wireless Emergency Service). Salah satu tantangan mendasar bagi implementasi layanan panggilan darurat pada jaringan wireless adalah proses penentuan posisi pemanggil yang selalu bergerak (mobile). Untuk mengatasi tantangan ini dibutuhkan teknologi deteksi posisi yang akurat. Sehingga informasi lokasi menjadi suatu yang penting, sebelum akhirnya panggilan tersebut dapat diroutingkan ke pusat layanan panggilan darurat terdekat. Bagaimana menentukan posisi pemanggil, apa saja metode deteksi posisi yang dapat diterapkan serta bagaimana panggilan tersebut dapat diroutingkan ke pusat layanan panggilan darurat terdekat, akan menjadi titik berat dari Proyek Akhir ini.Kata Kunci : -ABSTRACT: These days growth of fast information technology progressively in line with requirement demand of various forming good communications service voice and also the data. have technological righteously applicable to fulfill of demand of human being requirement of is included in matter this its use for the safety and emergency call service. Technological this conditions can only be conducted if the emergency call earn to routing to center of emergency service closest ( public safety answering point or PSAP), so that the caller will get respon which quickly according to requirement. Research of this final project is study about wireless emergency service. One of elementary challenge for implementation of emergency call service of network wireless is process of determination of caller location which always make a mobile. To overcome this challenge required by a technology detect accurate position. So that information of location become of an important matter, before finally the call earn to routing to center of emergency service closest. How determining caller location, any kind of method detect position which can be applied and also how the call earn to routing to center of emergency service closest, will become emphasis from this final project.<br /> iKeyword: -
