DEVELOPMENT OF WOODBLOCK PRINTING AND PUFF PASTA TECHNIQUES ON TEXTILE MATERIAL FOR FASHION PRODUCTS

Woodblock printing is the first textile technique with carved wood surfaces then given color ink and pushed several times to produce the pattern needed on the surface of the fabric. The making of woodblock is usually done by means of making motifs, tools used such as hammers and chisels. Woodblock printing has several techniques in the coloring process, namely direct block printing, resistant block printing, and block discharge printing. In general, direct block printing techniques in the coloring process are stamped directly and printed on the fabric using direct natural synthetic ink. Ink which generally produces images made and the surface is only produced by the surface of the fabric. Textile registrars have techniques that can produce motifs that have effects, one of which is the puff paste screen printing technique. Paste puff screen printing or puff printing is one of the screen printing or screen printing techniques using a type of platisol ink containing addictive substances made from foam or rubber that makes the heated dip expand.
The study was conducted using the literature method, where the data obtained in the form of references and developments in woodblock printing and puff paste. The exploration consists of the types of wood used, using teak wood, the type of ink to be used is soft ink cloth, and determining the dosage for puff paste and gum paste. Woodblock and puff paste especially in clothing ready to use duluxe.
