Currently, the availability of frequency spectrum is limited. The maximum possible efficient use of spectrum is an important goal of cognitive radio systems. The sparse nature of spectrum occupancy triggered this research to apply Compressive Sensing (CS) using the spectrum method of Convex Optimization (CVX). Usual sensing reconstruction is carried out one by one in each subband, so it is less efficient. With this proposed method, the results obtained the advantage of a smaller number of samples and faster sensing time, with the detection performance did not decrease significantly. In this research, the best sensing quality is Pd = 0.98 using the CS method. The smaller of compression ratio value, produce the worse of Pd value.
