Weather in Indonesia has 2 seasons that have an important influence on the activities carried out by the community, both individually and collectively. As technology develops, the application of a monitoring system can help the community to cope with the potential for extreme weather and natural disasters caused by rain.

 The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) has developed a marine radar-based rain monitoring technology, but the newly produced system has a website-based monitoring application, but does not yet have a standalone dashboard application. Application development is carried out to reduce dependence on internet connections and provide independent system options for users.

In the development of this topic, a SANTANU desktop application has been created which has a notification/notification feature for any areas affected by high rainfall intensity and the potential for flooding.
