The presence of 5G technology offers various advantages and is predicted to be a trigger for the transformation of the role of mobile technology in aspects of society's lives. In its implementation, 5G requires ecosystem readiness. One of the essential roles in the successful distribution of telecommunication services for the society is infrastructure. The current telecommunication business still seems to be dominated by big players, in this case, the cellular operator or Mobile Network Operator (MNO) in certain areas. Therefore, it is indicated that not all operators have the same opportunity to provide services to the public. Infrastructure development by each MNO becomes ineffective because it takes a lot of time and money, especially for implementing new networks such as 5G. So, the infrastructure sharing mechanism can be a solution option.

In this research, a study was conducted regarding using infrastructure sharing with the MORAN scheme for 5G networks at a frequency of 2.3 GHz in Indonesia through Techno-Economic analysis in dense urban (Bandung City) and suburban areas (Sumedang Regency). Technical analysis consists of capacity planning in dense urban areas and coverage planning in suburban areas. Then in the economic analysis, there is a calculation of Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Payback Period (PP), and Profitability Index (PI).

The results of the technical analysis show that the Bandung City area required 78 gNodeB, and the Sumedang Regency area required 132 gNodeB. For the results of the economic analysis, each MNO showed an increase in the feasibility of investment after sharing was implemented. The implementation of sharing in Sumedang Regency shows a total increase in investment feasibility by 20.87%, or 18.35% more than Bandung City for all MNOs. So it can be concluded that implementation of the infrastructure sharing mechanism with the MORAN scheme will be more efficient in less profitable areas such as suburban and rural areas.
