Abstract.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the usability of the Baraya Travel application, identifying areas for improvement to enhance the online ticket booking experience for users. By focusing on the Baraya Travel app as the research object, the study aims to provide valuable insights for its developers. It highlights user feedback and suggestions to improve user interface navigation, application speed, and the development of additional features, ultimately enhancing convenience and ease of use. This research will offer a comprehensive overview of the app’s performance, pinpointing specific areas for enhancement.
Methods/Study design/approach: Employing the Usability Testing method, specifically focusing on the System Usability Scale (SUS), this research adopts a quantitative research approach. Questionnaires were distributed to 409 users of the Baraya Travel application to collect primary data encompassing usability factors such as user interface navigation, application speed, and convenience. The statistical analysis employed a combination of descriptive statistics, including measures of central tendency and variability, to summarize the data, and possibly inferential tests, such as correlation analysis or t-tests, to explore relationships and differences between variables. The choice of statistical analysis aimed to provide a comprehensive interpretation of the data and derive significant insights into the usability of the Baraya Travel application. Additionally, the evaluation metric
used, SUS, served as a standardized measure to assess usability and compare results across studies, ensuring consistency and reliability in the evaluation process.
Result/Findings: The analysis of the SUS questionnaire revealed that users of the Baraya Travel application provided an average score of 75.26. This score indicates that the application has achieved a good level of usability, with a "Good" rating and a Letter Grade of "B". However, there is still room for improvement to attain the desired level of perfection. Users provided valuable feedback and suggestions, including the need for improved user interface navigation, enhanced application speed, and the development of additional features to enhance convenience and ease of use.
Novelty/Originality/Value: This research furnishes valuable insights for Baraya Travel application developers, spotlighting improvement areas grounded in user feedback and suggestions. It adds to the advancement of online ticket booking systems, aiming to enhance the overall travel experience for users. Emphasizing the importance of user-friendly interfaces, swift application performance, and convenient features is vital for bolstering user satisfaction and loyalty. Future research could delve into additional factors influencing user satisfaction and loyalty within the realm of digital travel applications.
