Abstract— This research evaluates the use of linear interpolation to represent seismic data. The ADXL345 sensor is used to collect vibration data, and the linear interpolation method with nine different step values is applied to process the data. Linear interpolation is chosen due to its simplicity and ease of implementation. Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) is used as a metric to evaluate the accuracy of the interpolation method. The results show that linear interpolation is not suitable for representing seismic data with a high level of accuracy. Although step 2 shows the best result, its accuracy decreases drastically with increasing step, and step 9 produces a curve that is very different from the actual data. This indicates the sensitivity of linear interpolation to the distance between data points.
