ABSTRAKSI: Dengan memanfaatkan teknologi Bluetooth yang terdapat pada telepon selular dan receiver Bluetooth yang terhubung ke komputer melalui kabel USB (Universal Serial Bus) dimungkinkan handset telepon selular tersebut dapat digunakan sebagai sakelar (switch) jarak jauh/remote untuk peralatan elektronik.
Paket data yang ditransmisikan oleh Bluetooth pada telepon selular akan diterima oleh server Bluetooth, dalam hal ini adalah komputer, yang terhubung oleh receiver Bluetooth via U.S.B. Paket data yang diterima oleh server akan diproses kemudian diteruskan ke microcontroller yang berfungsi melakukan kontrol device sesuai perintah yang diterima.
Kelebihan dari sistem ini adalah bebas dari biaya operator sebab tidak menggunakan sistem jaringan selular yang disediakan oleh operator selular. Juga pada handset telepon selular akan diinstalasikan program aplikasi sebagai fitur untuk mengaktifkan Bluetooth dan menampilkan layanan apa saja yang tersedia.
Dengan merancang pemanfaatan teknologi Bluetooth sebagai switching ini, diharapkan dapat mengurangi pemakaian kabel dengan instalasi yang relatif rumit dan ketidakpraktisannya. Pemanfaatan teknologi Bluetooth sebagai switching dapat digunakan untuk mengontrol berbagai macam perangkat elektronik secara praktis. Cukup dengan menekan tombol pada fitur yang terdapat pada telepon selular dan mengirimkannya ke komputer via Bluetooth, maka perangkat elektronik yang telah tersambung dapat dikontrol dengan mudah.
Perancangan dan realisasi pemanfaatan teknologi Bluetooth sebagai switching ini nantinya akan diaplikasikan untuk perangkat elektronik rumah tangga, sebab berbagai perangkat elektronik pada rumah tersebut akan dapat dikontrol melalui handphone yang terintegrasi Bluetooth dan sebuah komputer sebagai server Bluetooth.Kata Kunci : ABSTRACT: By using Bluetooth technology which has already implemented on handphone and Bluetooth receiver that connect to Personal Computer through Universal Serial Bus Connection, it could be used as a switch to control electronic device from a distance.
The data packet, transmitted by handphone via Bluetooth, will be received by Bluetooth server, which is Personal Computer with the Bluetooth receiver on its Universal Serial Bus connection. The Bluetooth server then process the received data packet and give it to microcontroller. The function of microcontroller is to control electronic device based on the order from handphone.
The advantage of this system is free of charge, because it doesn’t use Celullar System Network that provided by the Celullar Provider. The application software will be installed on the handphone as a feature to activate the Bluetooth and display the available services.
By design the used of Bluetooth technology as a switch, it expected to reduce the use of cable that complicated when it will installed on network. By using Bluetooth technology as a switch, it can be used practically to control different kind of electronic device. By open application software, push a few button on the handphone to give an order, and sent it to Computer through Bluetooth connection, then the electronic device will be easy to controll.
This design and realization using Blueooth technology as a switch, will be implemented for house electronic device. All electronic device on that house can be controll by a handphone with its Bluetooth and a Personal Computer as it server.Keyword:
