ABSTRAKSI: Teknologi Voice over IP (VoIP) mempunyai kemampuan untuk berintegrasi dengan jaringan wireless seiring dengan munculnya peralatan VoIP yang kompatibel, seperti wireless VoIP Phone, laptops, PDAs, dan 3G telepon. Analisa VoIP over Wireless LAN (VoWLAN) dilakukan dalam rangka memenuhi kebutuhan optimasi kinerja jaringan dengan kualitas suara sebagai tantangan terbesar dalam komunikasi Wireless LAN VoIP. Untuk komunikasi official antar cabang , Hotel Graha Santika Semarang mempunyai suatu jaringan LAN yang terhubung dengan internet. Pada tugas akhir ini, model jaringan VoIP disimulasikan menggunakan OPNET, dan evaluasi kapasitas VoIP over wireless LAN menggunakan dua buah codec standard VoIP yaitu G.729 dan G.711. Dalam tugas akhir ini dilakukan analisa QoS yaitu end to end delay. Selain itu juga dianalisis jumlah pasang voice call (user), jumlah voice frame per packet dan skema DCF/PCF pada Medium Access Control (MAC) wireless LAN. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa kapasitas maksimum jaringan VoIP Hotel Graha Santika Semarang yang dapat dicapai adalah 15 pairs stimultaneous voice calls dengan pamaketan 1 frame per packet bersamaan dengan aplikasi high data untuk codec G.729, dan 10 pairs stimultaneous voice calls dengan pemaketan 2 frame per packet dengan aplikasi high data untuk codec G.711. Hal ini dicapai dengan membuat calls ke IP Phone di jaringan Hotel Santika Jogjakarta dan mengevaluasi trafik satu akses point dalam wireless LAN di Hotel Graha Santika Semarang. Indikasinya yaitu VoIP end to end delay yang masih dapat diterima (<150 ms) menggunakan codec G.729 dan G.711. Hasil simulasi juga menunjukkan bahwa pengaksesan medium pada sublayer MAC wireless LAN yang cocok diterapkan untuk aplikasi real time adalah PCF, karena menghasilkan end to end delay yang lebih kecil untuk jumlah pairs voice calls yang sama dibandingkan dengan skema pengaksesan medium DCF.Kata Kunci : QoS, Wireless LAN, delay, DCF, PCFABSTRACT: Voice over IP technology have capability to integrate with wireless network together along with emerging compatible VoIP instrumentation, like wireless VoIP Phone, laptops, PDAs, and 3G telephone. In this final duty, VoIP network model simulated with OPNET, and evaluate of VoIP over Wireless LAN capacity using two standard VoIP codec that are G.729 and G.711. Others also analized pairs calls of users, voice frame per packet, and DCF/ PCF scheme in wireless LAN Medium Access Control ( MAC). Result of simulation indicate that the maximum capacities [of] VoIP network of Hotel of Graha Santika Semarang which can be reached is 15 pairs stimultaneous voice calls by 1 frame of per packet packeting at the same time with the application of high data for the codec of G.729, and 10 pairs stimultaneous voice calls with the packeting 2 frame per packet with high data application for the codec of G.711. This Matter reached by making calls to IP Phone in network of Hotel of Santika Jogjakarta and evaluate traffic of one access point in wireless LAN Hotel of Graha Santika Semarang. Its indication that is VoIP end to end delay which admit of accepted (< 150 ms) using codec G.729 and G.711. Result of simulation also indicate that the medium accessing of compatible sublayer MAC wireless LAN applied for the application of real time is PCF, because yielding smaller end to end delay compared to by same pairs voice calls of scheme of DCF accessing medium.Keyword: QoS, Wireless LAN, delay, DCF, PCF
