ABSTRAKSI: Hasil yang dapat diambil dari penerapan RSVP pada komunikasi VoIP SIP adalah adanya perbaikan performansi dari segi delay, jitter, dan packet loss dibandingkan komunikasi VoIP SIP tanpa menggunakan RSVP. Besarnya delay tersebut pada penggunaan codec G.711, dan G.729 berturut-turut sebesar 39.8592901ms, 23.65566238ms. Selain itu dari nilai packet loss yang dihasilkan, penggunaan RSVP dapat meminimalisasi persentasenya ± 50 %. Dari hasil simulasi dapat diketahui reservasi resource yang terjadi menyebabkan VoIP seolah-olah bersifat connection oriented.
Untuk mengetahui kinerja jaringan 3G UMTS di sisi Node B dengan UE, maka dilakukan pengukuran performansi air interface yang disesuaikan dengan data teknis PT. Telkomsel Regional Jawa Barat. Dalam hal ini, dilakukan simulasi level daya terima UE dan SIR menggunakan software RPS 5.3 dengan peletakan Node B yang berdasarkan peta Google Earth.
RPS 5.3 digunakan untuk mensimulasikan level daya terima dan SIR UE yang berada di area cakupan Node B agar sesuai standard KPI PT. Telkomsel Regional Jawa Barat yaitu > -92 dBm dan > -12 dB. Apabila level daya terima < - 92 dBm dan SIR < -12 dB maka diperlukan optimasi jaringan, dengan cara menaikkan daya pancar dan melakukan downtilting antena Node B.
Hasil optimasi dengan kedua cara tersebut, dapat mengurangi prosentase perolehan level daya terima < -92 dBm dan SIR < -12 dB. Sebagai contoh kasus, Node B Gatsu Laswi dan Tsel Office untuk layanan 3G dengan bit rate 64 kbps CS, sebelum optimasi terdapat 2,03 % perolehan level daya terima UE yang berkualitas buruk, yaitu sebesar -99,69 dBm s/d -92,60 dBm. Namun, setelah optimasi dengan cara menaikkan daya pancar kedua Node B, serta melakukan downtilting antena kedua Node B dengan menaikkan daya pancar, maka perolehan prosentase level daya terima yang berkualitas buruk menjadi 0,78 % dan 0,31 %, yaitu sebesar -95,69 dBm s/d -93,59 dBm dan -94,77 dBm s/d -92,45 dBm.Kata Kunci : 3G UMTS, Performansi Air Interface, RPS 5.3, Google Earth,ABSTRACT: Telecommunication technology now is developing from 2G (GSM) to 3G UMTS. PT. Telkomsel is one of GSM operators in Indonesia was applied 3G UMTS technology in Jawa Barat region. The aim is giving the new services with high speed data access to user.
Measurement of air interface performance is used to know the network performances of 3G UMTS between Node B and UE. This is based on technical data from PT. Telkomsel Regional Jawa Barat. In this final project, the methode to analyze the air interface performance is making the simulation of receive signal level and SIR by software RPS 5.3. Node B position in simulation is based on Google Earths Map.<br>This simulation is used to simulate of receive signal level and SIR from user in coverage area of Node B. The result simulation must be agree with KPIs standard of 3G UMTS network`s PT. Telkomsel Regional Jawa Barat, that is > -92 dBm and > -12 dB. If the value of receive signal level < -92 dBm and SIR < -12 dB, then they need a network optimization. There are two method of optimization, increasing the transmit power of Node B and down tilting antenna Node B.
As a sample of optimization is case study in Node B Gatsu Laswi and Tsel Office with bit rate 64 kbps CS. Before optimization, 2,03 % of receive signal level with poor quality, there are about -99,69 dBm s/d -92,60 dBm. Nevertheless, after optimization with increasing the transmit power both of two Node B and down tilting antenna Node B with increasing the transmit power, there are 0,78 % and 0,31 % of receive signal level with poor quality, there are about -95,69 dBm s/d -93,59 dBm and -94,77 dBm s/d -92,45 dBm.
