ABSTRAKSI: Saat ini perkembangan teknologi komunikasi wireless sangat cepat dan telah muncul berbagai macam standar-standar teknologi baru, diantaranya adalah WIMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) yang beroperasi pada frekuensi 2.3 GHz, 2,5 GHz, dan 3,5 GHz. Piranti yang tidak bisa dilepaskan dan mutlak harus ada dalam sistem komunikasi wireless adalah antena.
Pada tugas akhir ini dirancang dan diimplementasikan antenna mikrostrip sirkular. Antena akan berfungsi sebagai transmitter dan diharapkan mempunyai range wilayah frekuensi antara 2300- 2490 MHz untuk aplikasi WiMAX fixed. Teknik pencatuan antena mikrostrip sirkular yang akan dirancang dilakukan secara langsung menggunakan teknik EMC(Electromagnetically Coupled). Antena tersebut diharapkan memiliki banwidth lebar dengan modifikasi antena sirkular menjadi antenna sirkular dengan stack resonator agar bersifat wideband dan memiliki gain yang tinggi. Proses modifikasi menggunakan bantuan software Ansoft HFSS 9.2Kata Kunci : Antena Mikrostrip, WIMAX, Resonator, EMCABSTRACT: Today wireless communications technology growth rapidly and has emerged assorted of new technology standards, one of them is WIMAX ( Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) which operating at frequency 2.3 GHZ, 2.5 GHZ, and 3.5 GHZ. At this final assignment designed and implementation a circular microstrip antenna. Antenna will function as transmitter and expected to have frequency area range between 2300-2490 MHZ for the application of fixed WiMAX. Feeding method of circular microstrip antenna which will be designed done directly applies EMC (Electromagnetically Coupled) technique. The antenna is expected to have wide bandwidth with modification of circular microstrip antenna becomes circular microstrip antenna with stack resonator to have the character of wideband and has highly gain.
