ABSTRAKSI: Pada pemilu 2004 ditingkat TPS masih terdapat beberapa permasalahan, seperti lambatnya proses perhitungan suara hasil pemilu, tingginya kemungkinan kesalahan/kecurangan perhitungan dan pencatatan suara hasil pemilu. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini maka pada tugas akhir ini telah dibuat suatu alat bantu pemungutan suara berbasis mikrokontroller AT89C52.
Alat bantu pemungutan suara ini terdiri dari end terminal yang ditempatkan di bilik suara, server terminal, dan sebuah komputer database. Dimana pada end terminal terdapat tampilan-tampilan pemandu untuk proses pemilihan dan tombol-tombol angka yang bisa menyala jika ditekan yang berfungsi untuk memilih partai dan anggota dewan. Sebelum digunakan maka end terminal harus dikonfigurasi terlebih dahulu oleh komputer melalui server terminal dengan memberikan data partai, data anggota dewan peserta pemilu, dan model pemilihan pemilu. Data hasil pemilihan di end terminal dari setiap pemilih akan diambil dan dikirimkan ke komputer oleh server terminal, kemudian data tersebut dihitung dan dikumpulkan oleh komputer.
Setelah dilakukan pengujian terhadap perangkat ini didapatkan hasil bahwa data hasil pemilihan dari tiap end terminal dapat dihitung dengan cepat oleh komputer dan tanpa kesalahan.Kata Kunci : ABSTRACT: In the general election 2004, TPS level is still any problems such as the data were collected slowly because it was counted manually, the probability of error in counting process and record data. To solve the problems this final project has realized a device which improve the process of conventional election based on microcontroller AT89C52.
The device consists of end terminal subsystem which is placed in chamber. The other subsystems are server terminal and computer for database. The end terminal consists of displays as guidance for election process, and numeric pushbuttons which will flame unless it’s pressed that is used to elect parties and members of legislative. Before it’s used, the end terminal should configure first by computer through server terminal to give data such as parties, members of legislative, and election model. The result of election in the end terminal from every elector will be stored in local database and sent to computer by the server terminal, and then data were counted and collected by computer.
After it has analyzed on the device, it got conclusions that the result of data election from every end terminals were able to be counted quickly by computer and without error.Keyword:
