ABSTRAKSI: Pada umumnya, untuk memainkan lagu pada music player adalah dengan menekan button yang tersedia dengan mouse atau keyboard. Pada tugas akhir ini akan dibuat suatu sistem aplikasi dari music player yang memanfaatkan web cam dan deteksi dari bentuk tangan sebagai media untuk eksekusi music player. Dalam konsep yang sederhana ini, sistem tetap berfungsi sama dengan music player yang selama ini sudah kita kenal. Sistem mampu untuk melakukan perintah play, stop, pause, resume, next, and previous songs. Bentuk tangan yang teridentifikasi tersebut secara otomatis dapat menjalankan perintah yang sesuai dengan bentuk tangan user.
Pembuatan sistem aplikasi music player ini dilakukan dengan bantuan perangkat (software) Matlab R2009a. Format lagu yang digunakan adalah *.wav. Sedangkan pengidentifikasian bentuk tangan diambil menggunakan webcam 2 Mpx yang kemudian diolah secara real time dengan pengolahan citra digital. Proses identifikasi dari bentuk tangan dilakukan dengan mengambil colour histogram dan edge histogram.
Keluaran dari sistem adalah sistem mampu menjalankan perintah play, stop, pause, resume, next, dan previous songs dengan cepat dan akurat berdasarkan masukan berupa bentuk tangan dari user. Sistem yang telah dirancang mempunyai tingkat akurasi pengenalan bentuk tangan sebesar 78% pada jarak akuisisi citra 25 cm dengan rata-rata waktu komputasi 1,69 detik.Kata Kunci : Music Player, Pengolahan Citra Digital, webcam, real timeABSTRACT: Generally, to play songs on the music player is played by pressing the button with the mouse or keyboard. This music player application system is used helped by the (software) Matlab R2009a tool. The song format uses *.WAV. While identifying the form is extracted using the webcam 2 Mpx, which is then processed in real time with the digital processing of images. The identification process of hand is done by taking its colour histogram and edge histogram.
The output form this system is it can run commands: play, stop, pause, resume, next, and previous songs quickly and accurately in accordance with the instructions given in the form of hand based on user feedback.
