ABSTRAKSI: BEM KBM (Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa Keluarga Besar Mahasiswa) merupakan satu lembaga kemahasiswaan di kampus IT Telkom. Ada banyak program kerja yang BEM demi menjalankan fungsi layanan publik ke mahasiswa dan civitas akademika, dari yang berorientasi internal dan juga eksternal kampus. Ada beberapa kendala yang dihadapi oleh BEM, yaitu layanan informasi melalui media informasi Website yang belum optimal, dan beberapa fungsi layanan ke mahasiswa yang masih manual, konvensional dan berbasis kertas.
Dalam Proyek Akhir ini dilakukan perancangan sistem informasi dan aplikasi layanan BEM berbasis Web dan SMS Gateway. Untuk membuat sistem tersebut dibutuhkan pemrograman Web menggunakan PHP, dan modifikasi aplikasi SMS Gateway dengan memanfaatkan Gammu. Sedangkan untuk perancangan database digunakan MySQL. Jquery sebagai Javascript Library juga ditambahkan agar tampilan terlihat lebih cantik dan dinamis. Implementasi sistem dilakukan pada jaringan lokal dengan menggabungkan lokasi server untuk Web dan SMS Gateway.
Hasil keluaran dari Proyek Akhir ini berupa Website dengan beberapa fitur dan fungsi yang terintegrasi baik dengan SMS Gateway. Dari hasil pengujian sistem, didapatkan waktu respon pemuatan halaman Web menunjukkan nilai antara 0,2 detik hingga 2 detik. Jumlah user yang mampu mengakses Web server secara bersamaan tanpa adanya error adalah kurang dari 600 orang. Melalui layanan SMS, waktu yang diperlukan untuk melakukan akses data adalah 17 detik, sedang waktu yang diperlukan untuk melakukan input data adalah 17,5 detik. Kemudian hasil penilaian responden menyatakan bahwa sistem yang dirancang memiliki nilai yang berkisar antara cukup baik dan baik.Kata Kunci : Kata kunci : Web, SMS GatewayABSTRACT: BEM KBM (Student Executive Council Family Students) is a organization on campus IT Telkom. In this Final Project carried out the design of information systems and Web-based applications BEM services and SMS Gateway. The output of the Final Project is a website with multiple features and functions better integrated with the SMS Gateway. From the results of the testing system, the obtained response time loading of Web pages show a value between 0.2 seconds to 2 seconds. The number of users that can simultaneously access the Web server without any error is less than 600 people. Through the SMS service, the time required to perform data accessis 17 seconds, while the time required to perform data input is 17.5 seconds.Then the results of the assessment of respondents stated that the system is designed to have values that range between good and good enough.Keyword: Keywords : Web, SMS Gateway
