ABSTRAKSI: Perangkat sentral telepon adalah perangkat yang mahal dan biasa disebut juga sebagai jantungnya komunikasi. Oleh karena itu sentral telepon harus tetap terpantau agar dapat bekerja optimal. Kinerja Sentral sangat sensitif terhadap temperatur karena temperatur dapat mempengaruhi kinerja sentral oleh karena itu harus dipantau secara terus menerus sehingga membuat kinerja sentral telepon itu sendiri menjadi maksimal. Kegiatan untuk mengamati sesuatu disebut monitoring.
Monitoring adalah salah satu kegiatan yang dilakukan secara intensif akan sesuatu hal yang akan diamati. Dalam proyek akhir ini akan memonitoring temperatur pada suhu sentral telepon. Monitoring juga dapat dilakukan dari jarak jauh ketika seorang operator tidak berada pada lokasi tersebut. Monitoring akan memberikan informasi tentang status dan kecenderungan bahwa pengukuran dan evaluasi yang diselesaikan berulang dari waktu ke waktu. SMS (Short Messagge Service ) adalah sebuah layanan yang dilaksanakan oleh sebuah telepon genggam untuk mengirim atau menerima pesan-pesan pendek. Pesan-pesan SMS dikirim dari sebuah telepon genggam ke pusat pesan (SMSC ), di sini pesan disimpan dan mencoba mengirimnya selama beberapa kali.
Pada proyek akhir ini dibuat suatu aplikasi yang dapat memantau temperatur sentral telepon dari handphone pengguna dengan mengakses ke komputer server dengan sms sebagai penandanya.Kata Kunci : Mikrokontroler, Monitoring, SMSABSTRACT: The telephone central device is an expensive device which usually called as a centre of communication system. Therefore Central telephone must be monitored continuous in order to find out ideal temperature of central telephone and also make the performance of central telephone optimize. The distance temperature monitoring will help the operator to find out the temperature of central telephone.
Monitoring is process which done continually for something that being an object observation. In this final project will monitoring the temperature of telephone central.Monitoring can be done in long distance when someone not in that place but they can still receive the information. SMS(Short Message Service) is a service that happened in cellular phone to send and get a short message. The SMS is sending from cellular phone to SMS centre (SMSC), in it can store the message and try to send it for many times.
In this final project the author creates an application that can monitored the temperature of telephone central from distance by their cell phone which made an acces to computer server in order to get an information abou the condition of temperature of telephone central by sms (short message service). If there unusall temperature, the system will send an sms as an alert to operator cell phone.Keyword: Microcontroller, Monitoring, SMS
