ABSTRAKSI: VoIP merupakan suatu layanan atau aplikasi komunikasi suara yang dilewatkan melalui jalur IP (Internet Protocol) yang mempermudah berkomunikasi dengan menggunakan komputer lewat jaringan LAN atau internet. Pada proyek akhir dengan judul “PERANCANGAN dan REALISASI VoIP di ITTELKOM TRAINING CENTER” adalah salah satu cara untuk para trainer untuk saling berkomunikasi dengan yang lain tanpa harus membuang-buang waktu, dimana salah satu software yang digunakan sebagai VoIP server dan diperhitungkan karena berbiaya murah, reliabilitas lebih tinggi, penggunaan yang mudah, dan interoperabilitas perangkat yang digunakan yang telah mendukung banyak hardware adalah Asterisk yang merupakan Softswitch. Asterisk yang merupakan software aplikasi Open Source dan Free ware yang dapat dikembangkan sesuai keinginan dan menyediakan layanan Voicemail dengan Direktori, conference call, Interactive Voice Response, Antrian Panggil. Asterisk atau Softswitch sendiri merupakan perangkat sentral dalam dunia telekomunikasi yang digunakan untuk menghubungkan panggilan telepon dari satu saluran ke saluran yang lain atau komputer dari satu saluran ke saluran yang lain atau komputer ke telepon. Sedangkan PC digunakan sebagai client untuk berkomunikasi antara PC dari satu ruangan dengan PC di ruangan lainnya, software yang digunakan dalam PC adalah X-lite agar PC dapat berkomunikasi.
Pada bagian Asterisk untuk softswitch atau IPPBX dikonfigurasi di dalam sistem operasi Linux sedemikian rupa dan juga demikian pada bagian X-lite untuk client sehingga setiap client dapat saling terhubung dan bisa melakukan VoIP.Kata Kunci : VoIP, Asterisk, LinuxABSTRACT: VoIP is a service or application sound communication through IP (Internet Protocol) route to make communication easier by used computer through LAN Network or internet. In this end of project with the title “DESIGN and REALIZATION VOIP NETWORK in IT TELKOM TRAINING CENTER” is one of way for trainers to communicate wtih the other without wasting so much time, where one of the software that is being used as VoIP server and has been calculated because of the cost is cheap, higher realibility, easier used, and interoperability of software that is being used has been supporting many hardware is Asterisk that was softswitch. Asterisk is application open source software dan free ware that can be improved based ourselves and have service like voicemail with directory, conference call, Interactive Voice Response, queue call. Asterisk or softswitch itself is central telecommunication software that can be used to connecting telephone call from one line to another lineor computer from one line to another line or computer to telephone. Whereas PC is used as client to communicate PC form one room to PC in another room, software that being used in PC is X-Lite so PC can communicate.
On Asterisk part for softswitch or IPPBX is configured in Linux Operating System as the design dan on the X-lite part for client too is configured as the design so every client can connected with each other and can do VoIP.Keyword: VoIP, Asterisk, Linux
