ABSTRAKSI: Running text merupakan salah satu media untuk menampilkan informasi kepada publik dengan bantuan LED (Light Emitting Dioda). Informasi yang ditampilkan dapat berupa suhu, harga sewa apartemen, harga sebuah produk atau bahkan sekedar ucapan selamat datang kepada para pengunjung. Informasi yang ditampilkan dalam running text tersebut sebisa mungkin adalah informasi terbaru. Untuk itu diperlukan media yang dapat mengganti informasi pada running text tersebut kapan saja dan dimana saja tanpa terkendala jarak dan waktu.
Pada proyek akhir ini akan dibuat sebuah perangkat running text dengan bantuan sistem minimum jenis arduino uno yang di dalamnya terdapat sebuah mikrokontroler ATMEGA 328. Informasi pada running text dapat diperbarui melalui sebuah website yang dibuat khusus untuk meng-update informasi. Informasi pada website kemudian dikirim, lalu ethernet shield yang telah terpasang dengan arduino uno menerima data dan arduino uno mengolahnya untuk kemudian data tersebut ditampilkan pada panel LED matrix.
Dari hasil percobaan dapat disimpulkan bahwa running text dengan data berbasis website dapat berjalan dengan baik. Setiap informasi yang diinputkan berhasil dimunculkan pada perangkat LED matrix. Panel LED matrix mampu mengirimkan informasi sepanjang 256 karakter sehingga konten dari informasi yang ingin disampaikan dapat maksimal dan mudah di mengerti.Kata Kunci : Running text, LED matrix, Arduino uno, Ethernet shield, Mikrokontroler ATMEGA 328ABSTRACT: Running text is a media to display an information to the public with the help of LED (Light Emitting Diodes). The information that displayed in the running text as much as possible is the latest information. It required a media that can replace the information in the running text anytime and anywhere without the constraints of distance and time.
At the end of this project will be created a running text device with the help of arduino uno minimum system type which there is a microcontroller ATMEGA 328 inside. Information on running text can be updated through a website that created to update the information. Information on the website then sent the data and an ethernet shield that has been attached to the arduino uno receive data. Arduino uno will process it then the data will be displayed on the LED panel matrix.
From the experimental results it can be concluded that the running text-based data website can run well. Any information entered successfully displayed on the LED matrix.
